Monitoring profile for specific interfaces in CAPC

Issue/Introduction

Want to create a threshold profile for only one particular interface. A collection has been created to include the interface, monitoring profile is created and the collection is assigned to that monitoring profile. Event is not getting generated for the interface.

Device is included in the collection and now event is generated for all interfaces under that device.

How to configure monitoring profiles for a specific interface.

Environment

NetOps 20.2.x

Cause

Collections should not be used to filter interfaces to apply a monitoring profile. Groups should be used instead.

Resolution

Create a group to include the desired interface/interfaces and assign the group to the monitoring profile. It will resolve the issue.
