Issue/Introduction

A MODIFY MAP CURSOR AT statement appears to be having no effect.

Environment

Release: All supported releases.

Resolution

If AUTOMATIC EDITING is in use, and one or more fields are marked in error as a result of the automatic editing, then the cursor is always placed at the first field in error, regardless of any other specifications in the map or the process code.

This fact may make it appear as if a MODIFY MAP CURSOR AT statement is not working.
