Output Management Web Viewer r11.5 Direct Login returns to the Generic Login Screen After Time Out Instead of the Direct Logon Screen

Issue/Introduction

Description:

When going into Web Viewer we skip the generic logon screen and go right to the screen to enter the mainframe userid and password.
When a user times out, they are taken back to the generic logon screen. This is confusing for users. Is there a way to return them to the screen to enter the mainframe userid and password?

Resolution

Solution:

To customize the page the user returns to, please do the following:
Replace the reference in index.htm, for "/cadvweb.asp" with the same URL you are using for the direct login. Be sure to make a copy of index.htm first.

These are the exact steps to do this:

1. Edit C:\InetPub\wwwroot\index.htm
   
   
2. Find "/cadvweb.asp"
   
   
3. Replace it with the URL you are using for direct login. This is the one that you copied from the Web Viewer Administration tool and customized with your server name.
