Alternative to DSOPTN for determining your Dispatch security settings

Issue/Introduction

We do not have apar RO71200 applied. This was the apar which provided the DSOPTN enhancement command.

Is there an alternative method for determining what our CA Dispatch security option are currently set to?

Resolution

To determine what security options you have in place, logon to Dispatch and do the following:

At the ENTER NEXT TASK CODE Prompt...
type: SHOWMAP CADSSEC {enter}

* The above will cause the following abend which loads the module in memory:
PREVIOUS TASK ABENDED WITH ABEND CODE D002 AND MESSAGE CODE 081009
DC081009 V1 T513 TASK:SHOWMAP PROG:RHDCSHOW; CADSSEC DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MAP.

type: DCMT DIS MEM PROGRAM CADSSEC {enter}

Compare the resulting display which will look like this:
