How to hide or disable the About link?

Issue/Introduction

This article details how to remove the About.jsp link from the bottom of the Identity Manager User Console interface:

Environment

Identity Manager 14.4, 14.5

Resolution

The "about.jsp" link can be disabled in the Management Console for Identity Manager. 
Open the Management Console, browse to Home > Environments > {environment_name} > User Console.

Uncheck "Show About Link" to disable the About.jsp:

 

If unchecked, the link disappears from the User Console interface screen and attempting to access the about.jsp URL directly will result in an Invalid URL error.
