How to hide or disable the About link in Identity Manager User Console

Issue/Introduction

To customize the Identity Manager User Console interface, administrators may choose to remove the "About" link displayed at the bottom of the page. This article provides the procedure to disable this link via the Management Console.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5 & 15

Cause

By default, the about.jsp link is enabled in the Identity Manager User Console configuration.

Resolution

1. Access the Management Console.
2. Navigate to Home > Environments > [environment_name] > User Console.
   
   
   
3. Uncheck Show About Link.
4. Save the configuration.

Note: Once disabled, the link is removed from the interface. Attempting to access the about.jsp URL directly will trigger an "Invalid URL" error.
