Issue/Introduction

You need to manually expire the tapes unless EDM is setup properly.

Resolution

If Support has you trace a Disk job, the job uses the program name ADSMI302. If you do not have ADSMI302 set up as an EDM, the tape will not expire automatically and you will have to manually expire them from your tape management system.

If using CA 1, you can add ADSMI302 along with ADSMI002 to the TMOEDMxx member of your CAI.PPOPTION data set, so in the future any tapes created during a trace process will expire automatically. (A short RETPD value is suggested.)
