Issue/Introduction

Everyone is Getting a "Invalid user name or password" message logging onto Web Viewer 12.1 after a new  install.  Whenever I or anybody attempts to log in the "Invalid user name or password" error message is received, even when the password is correct.

 

Environment

VIEW, DRAS, Top Secret, ACF2, IBM RACF

Cause

Security definitions for View were incorrect.

Resolution

Take the  steps specified in the online documentation - View Security Considerations  to establish the authorization required by the CA DRAS task to access the View database.  Scroll down to see:

• Top Secret Security Considerations or 
•  ACF2 Security Considerations

or create equivalent IBM RACF definitions.
