Issue/Introduction

Everyone is Getting a "Invalid user name or password" message logging onto CA Output Management Web Viewer 12.1 after a new  install.  Whenever I or anybody attempts to log in the "Invalid user name or password" error message is received, even when the password is correct.

 

Environment

CA VIEW, CA DRAS, CA Top Secret, CA ACF2, IBM RACF

Cause

Security definitions for CA DRAS were incorrect.

Resolution

Take the  steps specified in the CA View documentation to establish the authorization required by the CA DRAS task to access the CA View database.

• CA Top Secret Security Considerations or 
• CA ACF2 Security Considerations

are in the CA DRAS Operations section of the CA View Guide or create equivalent IBM RACF definitions.
