Issue/Introduction

On the IXP menu bar under File, the CLI option is missing. As per user guide the CLI option should be present to perform the AutoSys command line execution.

In IXP Administration, we already have selected the CLI enabled option but it does not seem to work.

Resolution

The CLI option in IXP is supported only in SSO mode and not in user/password mode.

When using "iXp User/Password" authentication policy, the CLI option will disappear from the File Menu.

When changing the authentication policy to "Single Sign On", it will re-appear.

So the solution will be to use iXp in SSO mode.

SSO mode enables iXp to identify the user based on their OS/Domain authentication and uses the same for resolving iXp security privileges when CLI commands are executed.

This is a security requirement.
