The REORG utility may abend with a code of 23

Resolution
A 23 code from IDMSDBXX indicates a mismatch when trying to process an index intermediate file. This may be caused by some form of corruption in the index, indicating a need to rebuild before the REORG. Usually, running a MAINTAIN INDEX then re-running the REORG will resolve this problem.
