JARS r12.7 with SMFEXIT has abend for z/OSv1.10 SMFDATA.

Issue/Introduction

Customer has upgraded JARSMS r11.0 on z/OS v1.10 to JARSMS r12.7 on z/OS v2.1.
He is using JARSMS r12.7 with SMFEXIT.
He has made some confirmation test but S0C1 abend occured.

z/OS v2.1

Resolution

The exit was originally produced and supported out of Japanese office, and was produced when customers were using an operating system that produced non-standard SMF records that JARS could not process. The exit would modify these records so that JARS could handle them.

Since the customer is now using z/OS 2.1 and has standard SMF records being produced, the exit is no longer needed.
