Periodically, the navigation bar menu items are blank in Rally. For example, click the Plan tab and it only shows the 'pencil' and '+' icons, but the other items such as backlog, tkmeboxes, etc are missing.
Closing the window and re-logging into Rally corrects it, but it still occurs from time-to-time.
This is likely caused by an app's settings on the user's Dashboard.
To correct this, the user will need to add /?safe to the URL in the address bar so that it appears as: https://rally1.rallydev.com/?safe/<PROJECT_OID> where <PROJECT_OID> is the remainder of the URL that is pre-populated. This will disable all apps on the dashboard so the settings can be reviewed.
Please ensure the settings on all Dashboard apps are either set to Follow Global Project Settings, or if choosing a specific project, ensure it is one that the user can access.
Once the change is made, click Save at the bottom of the app. The user will need to check this for all apps on the Dashboard.
If there are any apps that do not display the Save button at the bottom when editing the settings, delete the app and re-add it to the dashboard, as it is hung up by calling information the user no longer has access to (likely a closed/archived project).
