Rally - Link a file that exceeds max allowed attachment size

Issue/Introduction

A user has a file that cannot be attached to a Rally user story due to the file size that exceeds maximum allowed 50 MB limit.

Cause

It is not possible to attach files that exceed the max allowed size.

Resolution

A workaround is to upload the file to a server of your choice and use either a standard rich text field like Description or Notes, or a custom rich text field to link to its location.

Example:

When a file that is above 50MB is being attached to a Rally user story an error is generated:

 

Upload the file to your server if it is not already there and create a link in a rich text field:
