The "UNRESOLVED FAULT DETECTED" alarm asserted on Fault Isolation model even though "Unresolved Fault Alarm Disposition" parameter is set to "Device In Fault Domain". In addition, only one model is listed in the event in which Spectrum has lost contact.

Environment

Release: Any
Component:

Cause

The 0x00010d05 event id is the event associated with the "UNRESOLVED FAULT DETECTED" alarm. By default, this event has Event Variable 2 set as an Event Discriminator. See screen shot below:

For this issue, the 0x00010d05 event had been modified and the Event Discriminator configured on Event Variable 2 had been removed.

Resolution

Remove the change to the 0x00010d05 event so Event Variable 2 set as an Event Discriminator again and then update the Event Configuration.

Additional Information

NOTE: The 0x00010d05 event is an out of the box event used by Spectrum's Fault Isolation, Fault Suppression and Impact Analysis functionality. Modifications to any of these type of events may cause undesirable results.
