Issue/Introduction

Connection and heartbeat error messages seen in the procecssd_log file on SpectroSERVER systems. The following highlighted errors are seen:

 

Jan 11 13:47:47 Failure to connect to Location Service at host:

                      spectrum, port #: 56063.

Will try again until we make a connection.

Jan 11 13:48:48 Failure to send heartbeat message

Jan 11 13:48:48 The Process Daemon Service has now established a connection with the Location Service.

Cause

These errors seen in the processd_log file are normal. When processd starts, it also starts the Location Server. Since the Location Service is not up and running yet, you will see these error messages until it is up and running and available for connections. After processd connects then these messages will stop. 

Resolution

Normal behavior. No action required.
