ICOM failed to start after IPL, it got a U0020 abend and messge: CA-7.584 - CA71 NOT MATCHED IN ICMDSECT .
After reviewing the CAS9 output, the CA 7 init program L2C0INIT failed to initialize the CA 7 environment because it got the following error:
CAL2R052E (0005) Unable to locate SASSEXTL
CAL2R042E (0005) Keyword validation error.
The above is just one of many error the L2C0INIT program can encounter. But in this case, the L2C0INT program could not find the SASSEXTL table to load it. So, if ICOM fails to start after and IPL and it get the message " CA-7.584 - CA71 NOT MATCHED IN ICMDSECT ". This is an indicator that something went wrong when CAS9 ran to initialize the CA 7 environment.
Ensure that the INIT for CA 7 successfully runs when CAIRIM executes.
To correct error "CAL2R052E (0005) Unable to locate SASSEXTL ", you will need to make sure the correct version of SASSEXTL is accessible via LINKLIST or STEPLIB when running the CAIRIM (CAS9).
Anytime you get U0020 abend and message: CA-7.584 - CA71 NOT MATCHED IN ICMDSECT
This indicates the CAS9 (CAIRIM) initialization of CA 7 did not initialize properly. This document give an example of that could happen, but it also can be various other problems.
