HOLDDATA missing from the Global zone after a receive via CA CSM

Issue/Introduction

After receiving PTF's via CA CSM the HOLDDATA for these PTF's could not be found in SMP/E in the Global zone.

CA CSM does not receive the HOLDDATA during the receive. That is, when you select the receive within CA CSM it only receives the maintenance without their corresponding HOLDDATA. The developers may have thought that if only a receive is being done there is no reason to bring to HOLDDATA to the attention of the installer. 

 

The HOLDDATA is actually received during the apply from within CA CSM. When you apply PTF's you will notice that it displays a small window that first says "downloading the latest HOLDDATA" then this is followed by "receiving HOLDDATA". The receive HOLDDATA runs as a background task to the apply that comes when you click install at the end of the maintenance installation wizard. 

If the receive HOLDDATA fails for any reason CA CSM will notify you with the task id otherwise it continues. You can find the result of this receive HOLDDATA under the tasks tab/current task. 

 

It will be listed with the name "Receive HOLDDATA". Here's an example:
