The installation of CA PASS only has one DVD image.
Mount the image, and you see the following:
Select CA Process Automation Solutions Suite 1.0.0.
From here, run the CA_PA_Solution_Suite_windows_1_0_0 executable install application.
Currently the Solutions Suite is only supported in a Microsoft Windows environment.
The first screen is the licensing agreement screen – accept the agreement and click Next.
The next screen is the installation location dialog. Accept the default or set your own location path, and click Next.
The next screen is the selection of Java.
Please note that although the dialog box states (1.7 or above) the limitation there is Java 1.7 or 1.8.
CA Process Automation and CA PASS have been certified up to Java 8. Our installs in support use the most current (as of the writing of this document) update for Java 8 which is update 45.
This is also where you will select to use HTTP or require HTTPS. If you select to use HTTPS, change the port accordingly, then click Next.
The next screen is for providing the CA Process Automation Orchestrator connection information. The installation of PASS requires that the Orchestrator already be installed and functional. Click Next when this is filled out. It may take a minute to connect to the Orchestrator.
The next screen is for the EEM connection details.
EEM Hostname is just the servername – not the URL to access EEM.
EEM Application Name is the name used when the Orchestrator was registered – the default value is Process Automation.
EEM Username and password are for EiamAdmin only, just as was used in registering the Orchestrator.
Click Next – and again this may take a minute to make the connection and setup the application groups. No users are created in EEM for PASS, only application groups. The default Process Automation users are used to access PASS. This can be changed if you are using an external directory for your EEM user repository.
Once you click Next after the EEM setup, the installation will begin.
The installation takes a few minutes. When it has completed and the service has started, you will be presented with the final dialog. The service name is CA Process Automation Solution Suite.
From this screen you will click on the two provided links to verify the installation was successful.
