After RO71145, CULPRIT jobs abend U4093

Issue/Introduction

As a result of appyling APAR RO71145, CULPRIT Cobol module CULPD100, also known as CULPDRES, was re-compiled and linked as an LE compliant Cobol module.

IDMS - All Supported Releases

Cause

Prior to applying RO71145, CULPD100 was a VS Cobol module.

Resolution

This means that CULPRIT jobs must then use the LE runtime libraries and not Cobol 2 runtime libraries. 

CULPRIT jobs which reference Cobol 2 libraries may work successfully before RO71145, but after RO71145 they must reference LE runtime libraries, otherwise they will get an abend such as U4093-34 (for example). 

This information applies even if the CULPRIT code does not call any Cobol programs.
