Issue/Introduction

The CA Spectrum AutoDiscovery is not connecting end station models like Pingable and work station models for Cisco C2960 device models. Specifically devices with the following sysObjectID's:

ciscoWsC2960P48PstL - sysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1748

ciscoWsC2960P24PcL - SysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1749

Environment

Release: Any
Component:

Cause

These devices are not certified out of the box in CA Spectrum so they model using the GnSNMPDev model type. When modeled as GnSNMPDev, Spectrum only supports standard mib-2 and not vendor specific mibs.

Resolution

Use Spectrum Device Certification to configure Spectrum to use the SwCiscoIOS model type to manage these devices by doing the following:

1. Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user

2. Select Tools -> Utilities -> Device Certification from the top level menu

3. Filter for 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1748 and select from the list

4. Click on the Edit icon

5. Click on the Browse button to the right of the Model Type Name field and select SwCiscoIOS model type and save the change.

Repeat the above process for 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1749

After making the above change, you will then need to delete all of the current GnSNMPDev models with the above two sysObjectID's and then remodel from scratch. They should now model using the SwCiscoIOS model type and the end stations models should now resolve to the ports.
