TPX - Session Management

Issue/Introduction

System console dump can be used to help resolve complex problems.

Environment

Release: 5.4
Component: TPX FOR Z/OS

Resolution

The operator console dump command syntax for
a NON Generic Resource (GR) TPX                   (note--this is a Z/OS command, not a TPX command):

DUMP COMM=(TPX LOOP DUMP)
R nn,JOBNAME=tpxstartedtask,SDATA=(RGN,CSA,LPA,LSQA,PSA,SQA,SUM,SWA,TRT),END
where nn is the REPLY NUMBER

When taking a console dump for a TPX that is a generic resource,
the following information needs to be added to the reply, after the SDATA(...) portion, and prior to the END parm

, STRLIST=(STRNAME=coupling facility name,
         ACCESSTIME=NOLIMIT,
         LOCKENTRIES,
         (LISTNUM=ALL,
         ADJUNCT=CAPTURE,
         ENTRYDATA=SERIALIZE)

The console dump will be routed to the system dump datasets.
