Resolution
Our only recommendation for COBOL LE/370 in BATCH is to set the RTEREUS option of the module CEEUOPT to YES. COBOL expects to be the mainline program in any application. When it isn't (as in the case with programs called by Ideal), it destroys and recreates its runtime environment on each call. Using RTEREUS=YES forces COBOL to reuse its runtime environment.
