Issue/Introduction

Why didn't Detector collection restart automatically when DB2 restarted?

Environment

Release:
Component: PDT

Resolution

Detector automatic collection start can be enabled using a START(DTR) command containing the AUTO(Y) parameter (see the Detector User Guide for more information), but cannot be enabled using the Detector Start Collection Display. Therefore, when Detector collection is started using a START(DTR) command containing the AUTO(Y) parameter, stopped, and then restarted using the Detector Start Collection Display, automatic collection start is not enabled.

Issuing the MVS modify command below is the easiest way to reenable automatic collection start. This command can be used to issue the commands in any member in the PXMPARM data set (ex. XMANINIT) at any time.
F PTXMAN,RUN(pxmparm member name).

This applies both to Detector and Subsystem Analyzer.
