Here are some troubleshooting tips:

  1. Review all the steps in the Configuring TCP/IP section in the Installation Guide and reboot.
  2. Make sure the REMOTE_SYSTEM parameter is correct
  3. Make sure the XCOM TCPIP listener is listening on the port you specified on the mainframe side.
  4. Possible routing problem
  5. Possible DNS configuration problem
  6. Possible communication problem ? try rebooting the box first.
