Disk Backup and Restore - MVS DISK BACKUP AND RESTORE- ADD-ON OPTIO DISK BACKUP AND RESTORE

Issue/Introduction

When using the DFSMSdss data mover for such Disk™ Backup and Restore functions as BACKUPCC (Concurrent Copy) or when Sysparm USEDSSIO is specified, Disk™ Backup and Restore will print out error messages in the same format as other Disk™ Backup and Restore messages are issued.

This is valid for ARCHIVE, BACKUP, BACKUPCC, DBACKUP, RESTORE, and RECOVER functions.

To view the error messages that DFSMSdss issues, specify a DD statement in your JCL labeled DSSMSGDD and to trace your job's DFSMSdss activity can be traced.
