Why are some external jobs and/or external data sets not being tracked by CA 7?

If using SASSEXTT to track external jobs, be sure that the job is not submitted by any other CA 7 (locally or remotely). If using SASSXDSN to track external data sets, be sure that the job creating the data set is not submitted by any CA 7 (locally or remotely). This is because CA 7 will check an indicator in the SMF data to see if the record has been created for a job that CA 7 (any CA 7) has submitted. If so, then the SMF record will be considered to be for a job submitted by CA 7, and will not be considered in the checking for external jobs or data sets. The result is that the job or data set will not be externally tracked. If you want to externally track a job or data set from another CA 7, use EXTTRK7 on the GLOBAL statement when initializing CA 7 with CAIRIM.
