The word iSponsor is short for Instrument Sponsor. An Instrument is something in your environment that provides a service, such as a Network Appliance Filer or a BrightStor ARCserve Backup r11 server. An iSponsor is a type of agent that monitors an instrument and provides information to the BrightStor Portal server.
