Resolution

In genlevel 0207, the file LIBGEN.E is no longer shipped. The assembly now picks up the file LIBGEN.A. The above problem is usually caused by an old version of file LIBGEN.E being pulled into the LIBGEN assembly.

There are two possible solutions:

  1. Issue a LIBR SEARCH for LIBGEN.E. Once you have found the member, rename it to LIBGEN.OLD. This will allow the assembly to pick up the LIBGEN.A.

  2. Add an ORDER statement to the PARM on the EXEC ASMA90 card of the assembly. Here is an example of the PARM . PARM='EX(LBX(EDECKXIT(ORDER=AE)))' .

This will allow the assembly to first search for A-Books, then E-Decks.
