You experienced a CADC203 catalog error. What is the 1st step to perform?
First attempt to run a DYNCAT BACKUP followed by the DYNCAT RESTORE REORG.
If, during the BACKUP process there is a catalog error, a DYNCAT BACKUP RECOVER may need to be done, followed by the RESTORE REORG.
A BACKUP RECOVER should only be used if the index area of the catalog is suspect.
A BACKUP RECOVER takes both a physical and a logical backup, however the logical backup is done without accessing the index area.
In most cases a DYNCAT BACKUP followed by a DYNCAT RESTORE REORG will correct the problem. If the problem contact technical support for assistance.
