The eTrust CA-ACF2 PW report (ACFRPTPW) shows an entry for the ACF2 batch default id and it is associated with the SLAPD job. The SOURCE field for this entry shows a value of '00000000'. Why is the source zeros?

Issue/Introduction

There is an option in the slapd.conf file called AUTHSOURCE. By default it is set to SERVER---and the source will display 0.0.0.0, which we see as 00000000 in the PW report.

Resolution

Change this option to CLIENT which will pass the IP address of the client requesting the bind to the RACROUTE call. This is documented in the eTrust LDAP Server for z/OS and OS/390 Administrator Guide.
