Getting error on BrightStor SRM (BSRM) agent manual install on a Windows 2003 machine: could not read the regsitry name InstallPath under the key Software\ComputerAssociates\CA SAN Proxy\CurrentVersion..What can be done to resolve issue?

Description:

Not able to push the BSRM 11.6 agent to a remote Windows machine because it is failing at 7%.

Solution:

From the Application server copy the NT folder from under the ...\BSRM Data\Database\Configuration\InstallAgent directory to the remote Windows server. Use the local Administrator login and password for the Windows server instead of the System login that is being used. Run the install from copied NT folder from the Application Server.
