Installation of VM Extension. TQINST EXEC ended with RC=08.

Issue/Introduction

The TQINST EXEC was run as part of the installation of the VM extension component of Dynam T VSE 7.0, but the process ended with RC=08. How do you determine what is wrong?

TQINST ends with the following error messages;

=======> DTPARMS ASSEMBLE ERROR, RC=8 
37 *-* exit 999 
=======> ERROR HAS OCCURRED - INSTALL ABORTED

Resolution

To determine what the error is, edit TQASM EXEC and change line 15 from "address'' atype 'DTPARMS (NOPRINT NODECK OBJECT' to "address'' atype 'DTPARMS (PRINT NODECK OBJECT'

Changing the NOPRINT option to PRINT will allow an assembler listing to be generated which will show any errors encountered during assembly.
