Description:
I have changed the date freeze date and I am still allowed to make changes to the planned data. How does the Freeze Date on the Financial Planning defaults work?
Solution:
To set the Financial Planning Freeze Date:
The purpose of the Financial Planning Freeze Date is to prevent end-users from editing individual cells within the detailed Financial Plan for fiscal periods that have an end date prior to the Freeze Date. The 'Populate from Investment Team' or 'Populate from Task Assignment' functionality will still populate a detailed Financial Plan with data for fiscal periods that end prior to the Freeze Date; but the data will not be editable for those fiscal periods.
The freeze date only applies to the editable cells within the cost plan for planning values. Actuals are automatically calculated and displayed as read-only fields as this data is coming from the posted WIP records, so the freeze date does not affect any updates to Actual Units or Actual Cost values.
