Issue/Introduction

 "unifstat" command shows the following for WVDMN:

    %CASP_I_124, Component Information for WVDMN 
    %CASP_I_125, Description: WorldView Agent Services 
    %CASP_I_126, Current State : 325 - INACTIVE 
    %CASP_I_127, Events Queued: 0 
    %CASP_I_128, Requisites: 0 
    %CASP_I_129, SubComponents: 0 

Resolution

World View Agent services can be activated manually with the following steps:

  • Check if 'Worldview Service Agent Activated' is set to YES in EM Settings (caugui settings) -> Component Activation Flags. If it is set to NO, reset it to YES and recycle Unicenter services.

  • Apply QO87540 or newer on the EM (WVDMN) server.

  • Set 'overrideSRV=yes' and MasterKB=<Hostname>.<domain.com> in X:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\CCS\DIA\dia\dna\config\dna.cfg file

  • Run the X:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\CCS\WVEM\BIN\switchwvregsrvr.bat file with option yes/y.

    Note:
    If the Worldview Manager is not installed on the EM (WVDMN) server, then the switchwvregsrvr.bat file won't exist because it belongs to WorldView DIA Cell which is installed only when WorldView Manager Component is selected.

    In this case, execute the %CA_TND_HOME%\bin\switchwvregsrvr.bat on the remote MDB machine to set the machine up as the registration server:
    C:\> switchwvregsrvr <MDB_server_hostname>

  • Recyle Unicenter Services:

    C:\> unicntrl stop all
    C:\> unicntrl start all

  • Run "unifstat" to verify WVDMN status
      %CASP_I_124, Component Information for WVDMN 
      %CASP_I_125, Description: WorldView Agent Services 
      %CASP_I_126, Current State : 500 - ACTIVE 
      %CASP_I_127, Events Queued: 0 
      %CASP_I_128, Requisites: 0
