FAQS - Automated Systems Operation

Issue/Introduction

Can you keep more than 30 days of online history for the AUDIT and ACCOUNT files?

Environment

Component: FAQPCS

Resolution

Yes, the format is

RESET= yy/mm/dd

where "yy/mm/dd" is the date of the oldest records you want to keep.

Note that if you do wish to keep a large number of days worth of data, you may need to enlarge the SYS$VIO PDS.

If there is not enough space in the SYS$VIO PDS to hold double the size of the LACAUDIT.CTL or LACACCNT.CTL file that is being merged when the GSAUDIT or GSACCNT batch job is run, then the job will fail. If this happens you will need to take a backup and then format and restore a larger area for the SYS$VIO PDS to reside in before rerunning the GSAUDIT or GSACCNT job.
