Description:

To allow your users to issue a VMSECURE USER command and not be prompted for their logon password, you need a GRANT NOPASS record in VM:Secure's AUTHORIZ CONFIG file.

Solution:

To allow your users to issue a VMSECURE USER command and not be prompted for their logon password, you need a GRANT NOPASS record in VM:Secure's AUTHORIZ CONFIG file.

Logon to VMRMAINT or some other authorized userid and issue VMSECURE CONFIG
3 Authorizations Authorize who can issue VM:Secure commands
(GRANT, LIST, WITHHOLD)

Add the record:
GRANT NOPASS USER TO userid

The above GRANT will allow the specified user ID to issue the VMSECURE USER command without specifying a password.

To allow your users to enter any VM:Secure command they are authorized for without entering a password, use the following GRANT record in VM:Secure's AUTHORIZ CONFIG file:

GRANT NOPASS TO userid
