If users defined in the Harvest approval group left the company and the user-id's were deleted in Harvest, would any packages they approved or rejected need to be re-approved?
Harvest Software Change Manager all versions
If the user who was deleted from Harvest is listed as an individual user in the package approval list, any approvals they have done disappear from the system, and their approval is no longer needed to promote the package.
If the user who was deleted from Harvest is a member of a group listed in the package approval list, any approvals they have done disappear from the system, but the user group's approval is still needed. Another member of the group must approve the package.
You can optionally configure your project to permit the promotion of a package to the next state only after the changes have been approved by designated person(s) and/or group(s). This is done by adding a "Approve" process to the state.
When this process has been added to a state in your project, a package cannot be promoted to the next state until each user (if multiple users are listed) and a member from each group (if multiple groups are listed) have viewed and approved the package.
You can check the approval status of a package in Workbench by right clicking it and selecting "Properties". The "Approval" tab will show the list of approvers and whether they have approved, rejected, or not yet reviewed the package.
Once all approvals have been received, the package is frozen and no further checkouts or checkins can be done. At this point, the package is ready to be promoted to the next state.
