Why did a initiated SEND FILE transfer via the XCOM ISPF interface may fail with messages?

 IKJ56221I DATA SET data-set-name NOT ALLOCATED,
   VOLUME NOT AVAILABLE
 IKJ56221I VOLUME; NECESSARY TO SATISFY YOUR REQUEST NOT ON
   SYSTEM, AND CANNOT BE MOUNTED

Resolution

When the output is a disk file and the XCOM APPLID is not specified in the XCOM Main Menu, the messages will be displayed prior to the File Allocation Information screen is presented to the user.
