Changing the ESP dataset naming convention and need to copy the old ESP operational data sets to the new ones.
Rename the current data sets.
If renaming cannot be done, here's how to copy the current ESP operational files:
- Use IDCAMS REPRO to copy these VSAM files:
. RESFILE
. INDEX
. EVENTSET
. HISTFILE
. USERDEF
- Use ESP utility program CYBESUT3 to copy the APPLFILE and JOBINDEX. Sample JCL is in the CD7YJCL library, member name CYBESS18.
- Use ESP utility program CYBESUT4 to copy the TRAKFILE. Sample JCL is in the CD7YJCL library, member name CYBESS37.
- Use ESP utility program CYBESUT9 to copy the CKPT file. Sample JCL is in the CD7YJCL library, member name CYBESS92.
- Use ESP utility program CYBRMALC to allocate a new EXHFILE, then run CYBRMCPY to copy the old file to the new one. EXHFILE is used for ENCORE. Sample JCL is in the CD7YJCL library.
- Use IEBCOPY or ISPF Copy utility to copy the JCLLIB, ESP Proc, DOCLIB, COPYJCL, SYMLIB, and TEMPLIB. These are PDS/PDSE.
