Issue/Introduction

A 'Team' resource is part of the Investment Staff with individual Resources allocated to the team.

Each Team Member may have a different 'Transaction Class' on their financial properties.

When using the 'Populate from Investment Team' functionality to populate a Financial Cost Plan, how does the individual Resource's 'Transaction Class' value impact the outcome of this action?

It does not appear the individual Team Members are included in the outcome of this populate action on the Cost Plan.

Resolution

The Transaction Class is defined on the Resource, Financial Properties page.

When you Populate from Investment Team for Allocations, the application should carry over all Allocation totals for the fiscal period based on the 'Staffed' Resources with the specified Transaction Class. When you Populate from Task Assignments, the application should carry over all Estimate totals for the fiscal period based on the Resources with the specified Transaction Class.  If the 'Transaction Class' field is used as a column in the matrix for determining the rates and costs, you may encounter a message during the population of the planned values if there are Resources or Roles that do not have a value selected for this field.

When a 'Team' is staffed to an investment, the individual Team Members are not populated into the Financial Cost Plan. Only the 'Team' resource is added and it uses the financial properties for that Team resource.
