After uninstalling CA Software from a server the CA License or CA_LIC folder is left.

Issue/Introduction

Description:

CA Licensing is not uninstalled in some cases depending on the products being used. You need to follow manual uninstall steps to remove it. The CA_LIC folder should not be deleted directly. Any CA License uninstallation should only be done after uninstalling all CA Products.

Solution:

Please follow the below steps to uninstall CA Licensing manually:

1. Goto you CA_LIC directory, ie, C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\ca_lic
   
   
2. Extract the lic98_uninstaller.zip file.
   
   
3. Double-Click rmlicense.bat
   
   
4. Click Run
   
   
5. Follow the on screen instructions.
