Issue/Introduction

Running Database Organizer for IMS (DBO) with BUF4RANDSEQ=1500 specified receiving messages:
IDI0900E UNABLE TO ACQUIRE STORAGE FOR WORK AREA - RPL.
IDI7601I FUNCTION RETURN CODE = 0012 (MODULE DBOGBHB, SUFFIX(0), OFFSET 04C2)
IDI7602I CUMULATIVE RETURN CODE = 0012.

Resolution

Changing the BUF4RANDSEQ from 1500 to 10 will resolve the problem and working upward gradually from that point will enhance performance.
That value will be multiplied by the block size to get the number of buffers and value of 1500 would allocate an astronomical number of
buffers. On multi-DSG databases this would be compounded.

Changing the BUF4SEQINIT to 10 will also improve performance. That value will be multiplied by the CI-Size multiplied by the number of DSGS.
