Description:

Why am I getting a VSAM error IDC3309I ** RECORD xxx NOT WRITTEN. LENGTH INVALID when running a REPRO with VBACKUP utility.

Solution:

Each of the 5 VSAM files for TPX has its own MAXLRECL value.
The output file should have a RECFM of VB and a LRECL of at least as large as the MAXLRECL of that particular VSAM file.
