Issue/Introduction

How do you change the threshold values for a particular Rule Set in Plan Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS?.

Resolution

The threshold is set in Plan Analyzer via:

• Select Option 'RS Expert Systems Rule Set Maintenance'.
• Choose the Rule Set to modify with the (U)pdate option.
• (U)pdate the selected rule.
• Set the filter option to "T" to retrieve only rules with threshold values.
• Use the (U)pdate command which will take you to "PPA Update Rule Thresholds/Severity Code" screen where you can modify the threshold values.
