Issue/Introduction

Description:

This error can be cause by inadvertently deleting the administrative user that was created when the WAMUI registration was done.

Solution:

The following errors may be found in the MSPS.log, JBoss log and on the WAMUI

  1. [2204/3688][Thu Nov 13 2008 10:02:20][CA.XPS:UTIL0032][ERROR] Unable to establish administration context.
    [2204/3688][Thu Nov 13 2008 10:02:20][CA.XPS:XPSSVC181][ERROR] Failed to establish a Security Context for user = JDBC://jdbc%2Fiamsuitedirectory/11
    [2204/3112][Thu Nov 13 2008 10:02:20][CA.XPS:UTIL0032][ERROR] Unable to establish administration context.

  2. 2008-11-13 10:02:11,343 DEBUG [com.ca.siteminder.framework.xps.security.AdministratorRelationship]CA.XPS::Administrator.UserPath='JDBC://jdbc%2Fiamsuitedirectory/11'
    2008-11-13 10:02:11,343 ERROR [com.ca.siteminder.framework.xps.security.AdministratorRelationship] Failed to flush administrator record for user [Siteminder] 11
    com.ca.siteminder.xps.XPSException: Unable to establish administration context.

  3. Error unable to establish administrative context.

This can be correct by Running the XPSRegclient tool on the Policy server and walking through the process of registering the WAMUI again.
