Question:

Why does the CICS show NOACT?

Answer:

Check the following

1. If the $MIT.p was catalogued.

2. If all of the proper $CNFIGxx.P have been catalogued.

3. Was the EXPS transaction issued (if ECTIEXPS is not in the PLTPI)

Additional Information:

If all of the above are done and none of the CICS regions show as active, check if you have another transaction called EXPI.

If you are using EXPI, you will need QS96062 to change the transaction Explore for CICS uses from EXPI to EXP9.
