Issue/Introduction

Description:

After the installation of the  Identity Minder iRecorder, the iGateway 4.2 service does not start and returns an error 1067: "the process terminated unexpectedly."

Renaming the identityminder.conf file to a different extension allows iGateway to start.

The IdentityManager iRecorder that is shipped with IdentityManager 8.1 SP2 was designed to work with iGateway 4.0 and there is no issue with this version. When you have Audit SP2 installed, the iGateway 4.2 is installed and needs additional tags in the Identityminder.conf file to load the IdentityManager.dll properly. These tags are ignored by iGateway 4.0.

Solution:

  1. Stop the iGateway service

  2. Modify the IdentityManager.conf file to add <Name>, <DispatchEP>, <ISType> and <PreLoad> tags as below:
    <iSponsor> <Name>IdentityMinder</Name> <ImageName>IdentityMinder</ImageName> <SupportInfo>Please do not modify this file</SupportInfo> <Version>8.0.4.070712</Version> <DispatchEP>iDispatch</DispatchEP> <ISType>DSP</ISType> <PreLoad>true</PreLoad></iSponsor>
  3. Save the .conf file.

  4. Restart the iGateway service.
