Issue/Introduction

I have a Linux based operating system on my PC. The Install Guide only mentions using Windows for the installation. How do I install the product?

Environment

Release:
Component: ACFLDP

Resolution

If you can read the CDROM that contains the product, then you can install the CA LDAP Server for z/OS by installing in USS.

Upload either file ldapinst.jar or dsiinst.jar to a USS directory, then login to USS and issue the following command to run the installer.

java -jar [ ldapinst.jar | dsiinst.jar ] -i console

You will then be prompted just like you were using a Windows machine for license, path, etc.
