Issue/Introduction

Description:

This document explains how much CPU PCM utilizes.

Solution:

By default, the Policy and Configuration Manager Agent on Windows runs with "screen saver priority"; and on UNIX, with "nice level =8".

So the process only takes up all the CPU when available while pre-empting cooperatively. While a system is being analyzed, PCM will consume as much CPU as is available, but typically the audit is completed in a timely manner.
