Issue/Introduction

Description:

We are in the process of moving our z/VSE system to a new CPU.
We used FASTCOPY to back up all volumes on our old system and restored them to the new system.
Everything starts up fine and jobs run and issue Dynam messages, but whenever a job tries to allocate a dataset we get the message CADD068D NO VOLUMES IN POOL.
What is wrong?

Solution:

On their old system, the customer had defined their DASD CUU address range to the CA Dynam Common AVR (COMAVR) record as 800 through 851.
On the new system, however, the DASD CUU address range is 100 through 141.
After updating the COMAVR record (using CUI screen: CAYD-1420       Common DASD AVR Information - CPU = *) to reflect the new address range, all jobs run and the VOLSERS are found.
